Weight management / Common questions
Understanding your options.
A consultation looks at your health history and goals. Support may involve changes to eating habits and activity, ongoing follow-up, and, for some people, a prescription medicine. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription.
What medicines are available to me for weight loss?
That depends on a clinical assessment. Prescription medicines used for weight management in the UK include Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Wegovy (semaglutide), Foundayo (orforglipron) and orlistat. They are possible treatment options, not a list to choose from before your consultation.
Your prescriber will consider whether a medicine is appropriate for you, then discuss suitable options, availability and costs. They may recommend a different approach or no prescription.
